Liverpool are sure to have a big summer in the transfer window. The Reds have no choice but to invest after a torrid season in the Premier League. Severe failures in the club have been thoroughly exposed and we need to address them. Liverpool should make a bold attempt to sign Philippe Coutinho on a free transfer; we never really replaced him.
Coutinho at Liverpool
The Little Magician Philippe Coutinho was the creative force behind what was known as the Fab Four.
We had him behind our current front three and we were irresistible on the front foot.
He was, at a time, one of the very best attacking midfielders in the world – if not the best.
The Brazilian’s repeated moments of magic led to a mega-bid from Barcelona, he joined the Catalan side for £142m in 2018.

We used the money to buy Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker and we haven’t regretted the move since.
Barcelona looking to sell
It is no secret that Barcelona are a club in financial crisis.
The La Liga outfit are in a fiscal black hole at the moment with billions of euros of debt to be paid.
According to Sport in Spain, Barcelona are looking to sell Philippe Coutinho.
The Spanish side are allegedly looking to raise the money to pay off the remainder of their debt to Liverpool which is said to be around £43m.
Liverpool should re-sign Philippe Coutinho
If the Catalan side are in that much of a pickle that they’re having to hold a fire-sale to raise funds then we should take advantage.
Liverpool should look at re-signing Philippe Coutinho on something of a free.
We should offer to cancel the debt and take the player back.
The club haven’t ever replaced Coutinho; he was a marvel when he was at Anfield and he’s been lacklustre since.
Something about our style of play or playing under Jürgen Klopp got the best out of him.
We are shy of a magic touch in the final third, someone to unlock the defence. Liverpool bringing back Coutinho could be just what we need.
