Liverpool have been in torrid form of late. The Reds have been steadily sliding down the table since Christmas due to a sequence of poor results. Injuries finally began taking their toll and we had to strengthen as a result. Ozan Kabak was brought to Liverpool due to every senior pro centre back being ruled out until next season, he’s said it was a dream move for him.

Liverpool sign Ozan Kabak
We needed to reinforce in the winter window.
The Reds were utterly ravaged by injuries this season, it all began in October when Jordan Pickford ended Virgil van Dijk’s season.
Just a few weeks later Joe Gomez’s campaign was over when he suffered an injury in England training.
Joel Matip fought on as long as he could but in January he too was ruled out for the remainder of the season.
The club waited longer than expected to bring in replacements but they did in the end.
Ozan Kabak joined Liverpool from Schalke on loan until the end of the season; the Reds have the option to make the move permanent in the summer.
Ozan Kabak on Liverpool move
The Reds’ swoop for the Turkish centre back was a long time coming.
We’d been linked with the defender for months and months before the move.
Ozan Kabak has told the Liverpool ECHO that the transfer was a dream for him, saying:
“It is amazing to be a Liverpool player. Amazing.
“A dream came true for me because as a child I always wanted to play for this great club with these great players.
“Now I am here I want to make our fans happy and proud.”
What RTK has to say
Ozan Kabak can be a success at Liverpool but he needs time.
He is clearly delighted to be here and why wouldn’t he be?
It’s a massive club and a massive move for the youngster.
He just needs to settle and he needs an opportunity when things aren’t so crazy at the back, it was a monumental task for him to come and try steady the ship with everything going on around him.
