Liverpool have slid down the table in recent weeks. The Reds have been largely terrible since Christmas and we can chalk this up to injuries finally taking their toll on the side’s play. Thankfully players are starting to work their way back to fitness. In a major boost; Jürgen Klopp has confirmed that Diogo Jota should be back against Chelsea.
Liverpool injury woes
The Reds injury list has been frankly ridiculous this season.
Jürgen Klopp has lost everyone of his first team centre backs – leading to the arrival of two defenders in January.
There have also been extended layoffs for the likes of Naby Keita and Diogo Jota.
Jota’s injury has been particularly frustrating for fans given that he hasn’t been seen since December after picking up a knee problem in a dead rubber game.

The Reds had already secured top spot and Midtjylland bottom yet the Portuguese star was still selected and he picked up a three month spell out for his troubles.
Diogo Jota return against Chelsea
This weekend the Reds finally ended a terrible run of form.
Liverpool beat Sheffield United 2-0 after having lost four games in a row.
Many fans expected our Portuguese summer signing back in the squad but he missed out due to illness.
After the game, according to Caoimhe O’Neill for The Athletic, Jürgen Klopp confirmed that Diogo Jota should return against Chelsea.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool having Diogo Jota back to face Chelsea could make all of the difference.
The Portuguese star is an immense footballer and he came up with the goods when needed prior to his injury layoff.
We’ve been desperate for his return and it couldn’t come at a better time as we take on a bitter rival in a real six pointer.
