Liverpool could buy Erling Haaland as agent confirms they can afford him

Liverpool are surely set for one of their most pivotal summer transfer windows in years. The Reds were somewhat restrained last summer due to the uncertainty posed by the pandemic. Given the lack of squad depth which was exposed this season, buys are needed. According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool could buy Erling Haaland with his agent Mino Raiola confirming the Reds as potential suitors.

Liverpool need a striker

This season has seen the goals dry up.

The Reds have faced low block after low block.

To make matters worse we’ve had to take on these low blocks with significant chunks of the defence and midfield missing, leading to disjointed build up play.

We’ve also seen a steady decline in the form of Roberto Firmino.

With no gaps to operate in the Brazilian has looked toothless at best, his poor finishing ability consistently exposed.

An out and out centre forward is desperately needed to remedy the situation.

Liverpool can buy Erling Haaland

There are few strikers in the world more sought after then Borussia Dortmund’s boy wonder.

Fabrizio Romano this week commented that Liverpool could buy Erling Haaland.

The transfer expert said that the player’s agent had named the Reds as a potential suitor, Romano wrote for Benchwarmers:

“His agent Mino Raiola has confirmed that there are ten top clubs that can buy him, but this summer the €75 million release clause will not be valid: [anyone] who wants Haaland will have to negotiate with Borussia Dortmund, they will not want to discount anyone.

“The clubs Raiola spoke of are Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, PSG and Bayern Munich, as well as Borussia.”

What RTK has to say

Liverpool signing Erling Haaland is the absolute dream.

He has a sensational goals to games record. This term he has bagged 17 goals in 17 starts for Dortmund.

At just 20-years-old he’s sure to just get better and better, he’s destined for a decade at the top.

Whoever signs him next has the game’s crown jewel, we just need to make sure we’re head of the pack.
