Andy Robertson dismissed any talk of a dressing room mix-up with Alisson. The Scot appears to have just found it funny.
Rumours and poor form – a match made in heaven. Once things start heading in the wrong direction, you can count on hearing some nonsense.
And that was much the case with Liverpool recently. You almost certainly heard the talk that Jurgen Klopp had walked away.
Then there was the rumour that Andy Robertson and Alisson had fought in the dressing room. It’s one that gained some traction – enough that the Scot gave it some attention this week.
“I don’t look like the boxing type, do I!” Robertson told Sky Sports. “The last two people to fight in the dressing room are myself and Ali, to be honest.

“When you get a couple of bad results, in current times I think people are sitting at home a bit bored and obviously somebody made up a rumour that the gaffer didn’t come home whereas me and Ali were fighting.
“I love how I was the one who ended up with the burst lip. I would rather it was the other way about but beggars can’t be choosers!
“The stuff that was getting written was a lot of nonsense. For the players and everyone in the training ground, we just need to block all that out.”
What RTK has to say
Jordan Henderson recently gave his own take on the rumours, too, as we covered here. He had much the same rection.
Quite annoyed at the them but willing to see the funny side. And at the end of the day, that’s all you can do.
Honestly, it’s amazing how often people buy into these, given that they’re true approximately 0.1 per cent of the time. Still, people are willing to accept them.
Liverpool have built their success on team spirit, though – not the other way around. The idea that things would fall apart like that just feels ridiculous to us.
So we’re happy to hear it’s nonsense but in no way surprised.
