'Brilliant': Twitter reacts to reports Liverpool could sign Ozan Kabak

Liverpool are at it again, exciting us in the transfer market. For an added bit of spice this time around they left it until deadline day which they often don’t do – a nice touch. Michael Edwards appears to be chained to his laptop and a phone in an effort to get deals over the line. Twitter has reacted to reports that Liverpool could sign Ozan Kabak today.

Who is Ozan Kabak?

20-year-old Turkish centre back Ozan Kabak currently plays for Schalke.

The defender has been with the Bundesliga side since joining from Stuttgart in 2019.

Liverpool have been linked with Ozan Kabak for eternity.

Links first emerged last season and they only intensified with the Reds’ injury crisis.

This term has been a struggle for the defender with Schalke rock bottom of the Bundesliga.

Despite his side’s poor defensive record the Turkish centre back is still deemed a top prospect.

Liverpool could sign Ozan Kabak

There have been numerous links between the Reds and defenders in recent weeks and months.

This weekend, out of nowhere, the club agreed a deal for Preston centre back Ben Davies.

It looks as though the Reds aren’t done. According to Sky, Liverpool are trying to sign Ozan Kabak on loan.

The deal would allegedly include an obligation to buy and the Reds are thought to have a medical booked.

However, the deal hinges on Schalke finding a replacement before Germany’s 5pm deadline.
