Liverpool take on Spurs tonight with the Reds needing to win. They just have to. If we’re going to keep ourselves in the title race we can’t afford to drop anymore points any time soon. Jordan Henderson will have to keep Tanguy Ndombele quiet for Spurs.
Must win game
Liverpool cannot afford anything less than a victory in North London tonight.
The Reds have failed to win since the 19th of December.
Since then Manchester United, Newcastle United and West Brom have held Jürgen Klopp’s side to a draw.
Whilst Burnley and Southampton have eked out victories.
Jose Mourinho’s side can leapfrog the Reds with a win.
With Manchester City seven points ahead, Jürgen Klopp knows that victory is an imperative.
Tanguy Ndombele form
24-year-old France midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is in fine form.
The £63m signing has finally started hitting the heights expected of him when he joined Tottenham.
He has scored three and assisted one in his last four games, netting twice from the bench in the FA Cup.
He is very much the midfield dangerman for Spurs.
Jordan Henderson and Tanguy Ndombele
We can expect Jordan Henderson to be marking Tanguy Ndombele.
The Frenchman will likely lineup at the point of the Spurs midfield.
Hendo will surely be in the holding midfield role for the Reds.
The skipper managing to contain Ndombele could be the difference maker at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Given the Frenchman’s fine form we need to keep him from creating and scoring. There’s no better man to do that than the determined Hendo.
