Liverpool have been linked with dozens of players in recent weeks and months. The Reds are always planning for the future and are always looking for a bargain, as such they’ve been linked with a move for a potential Jordan Henderson replacement. Liverpool could receive a boost to their pursuit of Declan Rice with Chelsea sacking Frank Lampard.

Liverpool pursuing Declan Rice
The Reds love a bargain.
In recent years we’ve bagged Andy Robertson for £8m, Xherdan Shaqiri for £13m and Mo Salah for just £34m.
According to 90Min, Liverpool could sign Declan Rice for a supposed bargain fee.
The outlet claimed that the midfielder’s asking price will drop to £50m.
This is some way off the £80m that West Ham were initially asking for.
Chelsea sack Frank Lampard
Chelsea have been pretty underwhelming this year.
The Blues are barely midtable at the moment, sitting in ninth with Southampton able to overtake them with their game in hand.
As a result it is being widely reported that Chelsea have sacked Frank Lampard as manager.
Thomas Tuchel will allegedly take over at Stamford Bridge.
The Athletic reported the switch earlier today.
Liverpool Declan Rice boost
According to The Express, Frank Lampard clashed with the Chelsea board over their inertia over Rice.
The ex-Chelsea boss was thought to be the main driver of Stamford Bridge interest in the West Ham midfielder.
Now that Lampard has been sacked, Liverpool could have a clearer run at Declan Rice.
Sure, there are other clubs interested but if Chelsea weren’t going to buy him when Lampard was begging – why would they buy him when he’s gone?
If Liverpool truly want the midfielder, the race just got a lot easier.
