Liverpool have an academy bursting with talent. The Reds have been bringing wonderkids in from across the globe to bolster the youth ranks. Some of our brightest prospects come from nearby, just over the water in fact. Highly rated Liverpool teenager Max Woltman has signed his first professional contract, fans are made up.
Who is Max Woltman?
17-year-old Liverpool starlet Woltman was born on the Wirral.
He joined the academy from Greenleas at 7-years-old, the same age U23s star Tyler Morton joined from the same side. Jay Spearing is another Greenleas old boy.
Woltman can play anywhere across the forward line and is noted for his pace.
The teenager is also a keen presser when out of possession and he is an excellent finisher.
Just 17-years-old he stepped into the U18s setup in the 2019/20 season.
Max Woltman signs Liverpool contract
This week saw Liverpool hand Max Woltman his first professional contract.
The deal comes during an impressive season for the teenager.
Woltman netted his first goal of the season in the 4-0 demolition of Everton U18s.
He also scored an impressive opener in the 4-1 win over Newcastle United’s youngsters.

The youngster is one of the brightest prospects in an impressive U18s side.
He is sure to step into the U23s in the next year and should he impress at that level then we’ll be seeing him in cup games before long.
