Liverpool have been misfiring in recent weeks. Jürgen Klopp’s side have failed to find the net in their last three Premier League games, they’re without a win in their last four. Something has got to give. In a reality where we’re facing low blocks and teams are becoming more accustomed to the Reds’ system Liverpool need to drop Roberto Firmino next season to show they mean business.
The Reds are in the worst run of form we’ve seen in some time.
For the first time in 16 years Liverpool have failed to score in three successive Premier League games.
There have been chances and half chances but they just aren’t being taken.
Mo Salah has been particularly wasteful but Roberto Firmino was at fault against Manchester United.

The Brazilian failed to find the net with the best of our chances, never really troubling the opposition keeper.
Liverpool need to drop Roberto Firmino
When we say drop Roberto Firmino we don’t necessarily mean to the bench.
What we need desperately is a goal scoring number nine.
Now that Thiago is in the midfield picking out the passes and unlocking defences the creativity of Bobby has become less essential and his poor finishing ability has become tougher to swallow.
When facing low blocks we need someone who is going to take that one chance that they get.
Next season Liverpool need to bring in a goal scoring forward and put Bobby back into the 10 role or use him in difficult away ties at Man City and in the Champions League.
Games where we’ll have space are ideal for Bobby but nobody wants to give us space anymore, leaving us crying out for a poacher.
If the Reds mean business, they’ll solve the goal scoring issue by bringing in a goal grabbing number nine.
