Liverpool have one of the best back fours in world football. The Reds boast the globe’s two most effective full backs, two players who have together revolutionised what can be expected from wide defenders. As a result, it’s difficult to break into the first team as a fullback, some have to go out on loan. Adam Lewis is set to return to Liverpool after a disappointing loan spell at Amiens.
Adam Lewis profile
21-year-old Scouser Adam Lewis came through the ranks at the Liverpool academy.
The local lad joined the academy at U6 level and impressed at every youth level on his way to the U23s.
His form in the academy earned him an England U20s call up.
Capable of playing anywhere on the left flank, he made his senior debut in the FA Cup fourth round against Shrewsbury Town in February 2020.

Adam Lewis set for Liverpool return
Last summer’s transfer window saw Adam Lewis sign a new long term contract with Liverpool before he joined Amiens on loan.
The Scouser headed to the French Ligue 2 side hoping to get some first team experience.
However, things haven’t worked out for the youngster.
He has made just nine league appearances for the French outfit and he hasn’t played in the league since November.
Courrier Picard reported in December that he had ‘failed to convince’ the staff at Amiens.
The latest update from RMC Sport is that the youngster will return to Liverpool this month with Amiens set to cut his loan spell short.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool will be gutted by this development.
There were high hopes for the youngster at one point.
His development appears to have stalled and this is a big blow for the youngster.
Hopefully we manage to find him a temporary move in England for the rest of the season, there’s a player in there he just needs a chance to show it.
