Liverpool have to act in the January transfer market. The Reds have been rocked by a series of devastating injuries and are having to lineup with a makeshift side as a result. Kopites are clamouring for a new defender. Reported Liverpool target Sven Botman is allegedly available for just £15m; signing him is a no brainer.

Liverpool injury crisis
In my lifetime I’ve never seen worse luck in football.
The physios must be wondering what’s hit them this season.
Jürgen Klopp has lost most of his first team to injury at some point or another.
The defence has been the worst hit part of the team with the starting centre back partnership ruled out for most of the campaign.
Virgil van Dijk ruptured his ACL in the Merseyside Derby and weeks later Joe Gomez picked up a knee injury during England training.
Joel Matip has since been ruled out with an issue of his own.
Fabinho is holding the fort alongside Rhys Williams and/or Nat Phillips for the next few weeks.
Liverpool and Sven Botman
There’ve been a number of reports linking Liverpool with Sven Botman.
The Reds have allegedly already opened negotiations with a view to sealing the player’s signature.
According to The Mirror, he’d be available for just £15m.
Signing Botman is a no brainer
The Reds need to sign a centre back in January.
Liverpool signing Sven Botman for just £15m is a no brainer.
He is just 20-years-old and has made a massive impact in the Lille defence.
Not to mention he is Dutch, meaning he could benefit from the tutelage of Virgil van Dijk and the pair could strike up a partnership at international level.
He would be a budget buy and he’d be able to progress in the shadow of Virgil and Joe Gomez when the pair return.
Given our limited options at the moment, just £15m for the Lille defender seems a bargain.
