Liverpool have dropped points in back to back games. The Reds don’t often do this but given the injury crisis and the hectic schedule we won’t be sounding the alarms. Despite the disappointing result we have one moment to get excited about. Some Liverpool fans have been drooling over Thiago returning against Newcastle.

Liverpool draw at Newcastle
It’s a shame. It was a limp game.
The Reds dominated the tie, as expected. Yet they couldn’t make their chances pay.
Mo Salah was incredibly wasteful and Karl Darlow was on top form.
Truth be told, the Egyptian King let us down massively.
He had more than enough chances and he wasted each of them.
Roberto Firmino put him through on goal in the second half and the ball was put well wide.
Thiago return v Newcastle
There was one massive moment of consolation for Kopites.
Thiago returned against Newcastle this evening and his impact was immediate.
The Spaniard was immense on the ball. Nearly immediately he raked a pass out to Trent Alexander-Arnold and our jaws dropped.
His return was the moment we’ve been waiting for since October.
In the 20 minutes he spent on the pitch we could tell just how important he’s going to be, the difference he’s going to make.
Had he started the game it would have been an entirely different prospect.
What RTK has to say
James Pearce referred to him as an injection of class.
Fans saw the difference.
There’s light at the end of the tunnel.
He was the best player out there.
Imagine if Jota had played too.
He was incredible.
