Liverpool have carved out a unique identity in the past few years. The Reds have a way of playing which is unmatched throughout the football world. Jürgen Klopp’s full backs are one of the most notable features of his system. Gary Neville has summed up Andy Robertson in three words on Sky Sports.
Andy Robbo superstar
When Liverpool signed Andy Robertson from Hull City in 2017 there were a few eyebrows raised.
The Scotsman cost us £8m. Many fans were hoping for a more glamorous signing to replace the haphazard Alberto Moreno.
Robbo took a few months to claim his spot in the starting side but when he did he never looked back.
The now Scotland captain has established himself not only as the Reds’ first choice but also as one of the greatest left backs in the world.

Gary Neville on Andy Robertson
Of course, the wing back has his admirers.
Even Manchester United legends can appreciate the incredible football the ex-Hull City man plays.
Gary Neville has been drooling over Andy Robertson, the former Old Trafford full back told Sky Sports:
“Robertson, the left back, is unbelievable.
“Three or four years to do what he’s doing, up and down that wing – intensity, quality and the big thing, consistency.”
What RTK has to say
For a full back there are few pundits better to be praised by than G Nev.
Gary Neville drooling over Andy Robertson shows just how good Robbo is.
Neville won it all with United, he’s one of the Premier League’s most iconic full backs.
I’m sure the United legend would agree with me saying that he couldn’t do half of what Robbo could do.
It was a different game, a different time.
Robbo is the epitome of the modern full back. He is marauding, relentless. He is an attacking threat. He is the best in the world.
