Liverpool are top of the league but they are undeniably short staffed at the moment. The Reds have been ravaged by injuries but they’re still standing, still sweeping all before them. Many believe the club will look for reinforcements in the winter window. The Daily Mail has claimed Liverpool want to sign David Carmo in January.
Liverpool need reinforcements
The centre back situation has become quite dire in recent months.
The Reds started the campaign with just three senior centre halfs.
Joel Matip is now the last man standing, holding the fort alongside a carousel of makeshift midfielders and youth prospects.
Rhys Williams and Fabinho have performed admirably when put alongside the Cameroonian.

Fabby has shown that he is one of the best one-on-one defenders in world football.
Whilst Williams has demonstrated his sky high potential.
Nevertheless, there is a school of thought that we can’t risk further injuries and need to strengthen as a result.
Liverpool linked with David Carmo
The gossip pages are rarely without the Reds being linked with a defender.
The latest rumour has Liverpool targeting David Carmo in January.
The Daily Mail has claimed that Jürgen Klopp’s side have eyes on the 6ft 5in centre back and could move in the next month.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool signing David Carmo makes sense on paper.
We can’t pretend to have watched hours of footage of him.
However, the numbers add up: he is just 21-years-old and his physical stature puts him in the Virgil van Dijk mould to an extent.
He is left footed which means he would bring some balance to the centre of the defence and his age means he has plenty of time to develop.
We’ll keep a close eye on this one.
