This season has been a difficult one for the Liverpool physios. The medical staff have had to work overtime due to the incessant injuries sustained by the first team. Liverpool should consider bringing Harry Wilson back if Xherdan Shaqiri continues to be unavailable.

Liverpool injury crisis
The Reds have suffered from a combination of bad luck and a hectic fixture list this season.
Jürgen Klopp has seen most of his first team resigned to the treatment table at one time or another.
Virgil van Dijk is the toughest absence to take, the Dutchman won’t play again this season after rupturing his ACL in the Merseyside Derby.
Joe Gomez will be lucky to turn out again after picking up a knee injury of his own.
Summer signing Thiago has also been absent since the Merseyside Derby after a petulant Richarlison tackle did some serious damage.
Elsewhere in the squad niggling issues have limited the boss’ options.
Xherdan Shaqiri injured
Liverpool have been without Xherdan Shaqiri since the November international break.
The Swiss star picked up a muscle problem and hasn’t been seen since.
The versatile midfielder’s absence has left the Reds short of options.
At the minute Divock Origi is the only fit replacement for the front three given that Diogo Jota is also absent.
Liverpool should consider Harry Wilson
Given the dearth of options up top at the minute the Reds need to get creative.
Liverpool should consider bringing Harry Wilson back if Xherdan Shaqiri continues to be unavailable.
The winger is currently on loan at Cardiff City and he is impressing in the Championship.
Wilson has two goals and two assists this term, boasting a WhoScored rating of 7.06.
Given that he isn’t likely to be at the club next season we needn’t worry about him spending some time on the bench, we just need the cover.
Whether the terms of the loan permit a recall we don’t know.
All we know is that we are stretched thin and need to do something about it.
