Liverpool take on Spurs this week with the Reds looking to pull clear at the top of the Premier League table. Jürgen Klopp’s side were disappointing at the weekend and will be looking to put that right in a decisive fixture. Liverpool playing Jordan Henderson at centre back could be the key to unlocking Spurs.

Crunch clash
As it stands Liverpool and Spurs are joint top of the table on points.
The Reds had the opportunity to pull ahead on Sunday afternoon after the Lilywhites drew at Crystal Palace.
However, Jürgen Klopp’s men put in a disappointing performance at nearby Craven Cottage, drawing 1-1 with Fulham.
This has left the two sides going into Wednesday night’s tie knowing that a victory means breathing room at the top.
Joel Matip injury
Halftime at the weekend saw Joel Matip limp off with injury.
The Cameroonian suffered a back spasm which forced his early withdrawal, Takumi Minamino replaced him.
Captain Jordan Henderson was dropped into centre back to play alongside Fabinho.
At the moment it is unclear whether or not Matip will be fit for Wednesday night, the management team believe there’s a chance but we aren’t going to hold our breath.
Jordan Henderson centre back v Spurs
Robbie Fowler predicted that Liverpool will have 70% of possession on Wednesday night.
We can’t argue with that prediction, Jose Mourinho has built success at Spurs using the counter attack.
Liverpool could use Jordan Henderson to unlock Spurs from centre back on Wednesday night.
If we are going to dominate the ball then our centre backs will see a lot of it, the skipper is the ideal man to have in possession.
He is always looking to loop a direct ball over the top to the likes of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.
Otherwise we could see Nat Phillips lineup at the back. He’s been solid defensively but his passing range isn’t comparable to Henderson’s.
