Liverpool take on FC Midtjylland this week with absolutely nothing to play for. The Reds have already secured top spot, the Danes are already resigned to bottom place. We are expecting a heavily rotated side as a result. However, Jürgen Klopp has hinted that Caoimhin Kelleher won’t be rotated out.

Caoimhin Kelleher backup star
This last week has been an enormous one for Caoimhin Kelleher.
The Irishman made his Champions League and Premier League debuts for Liverpool in the absence of Alisson Becker.
He was a surprise choice against Ajax but he more than held his own, keeping a clean sheet against the Dutch champions.
He pulled off a number of smart stops against Ajax and kept his place for the weekend.
It was another clean sheet on Sunday as the 22-year-old denied Wolves a goal at Anfield.
Kelleher starting against Midtjylland
Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Jürgen Klopp hinted that Caoimhin Kelleher will start against FC Midtjylland this week.
Given that a rotated side is expected, the boss was asked whether Adrian will be rotated in, he told the press:
“Lineup wise we haven’t made a decision but you don’t change a goalie too often. Caoimhin should be ready again.
“I haven’t thought about it but that is probably a good sign.”
What RTK has to say
Caoimhin Kelleher starting against Midtjylland would be great news.
The Irishman fully deserves to keep his place in the side.
Furthermore, it could be his last chance for a while as Alisson is tipped to return against Fulham.
Give him one last hurrah until he’s needed again, knowing our luck it won’t be long before he’s back in the sticks.
