Caoimhin Kelleher8

The Irishman kept his place and kept his cool yet again. His distribution was as sharp as usual and he was solid when called upon.

Trent Alexander-Arnold6

The Scouser took the armband and whilst he wasn’t as influential as usual he still had a strong game.

Rhys Williams8

Williams continued his impressive Champions League form, he was imperious at the back.

Fabinho9

The Brazilian just keeps getting better. Could he be a first choice centre back in future?

Kostas Tsimikas5.5

The summer signing is still finding his feet in a Red shirt.

Taki Minamino – 6

The Japan international didn’t exert enough influence on the game, he keeps showing flashes but not often enough. He was robbed of a goal at the end.

Leighton Clarkson8.5

A superlative debut. He wasn’t overawed by the occasion, spraying balls left and right.

Naby Keita6.5

The Guinean had an OK game in the middle, he’s still getting back up to speed.

Divock Origi4

The Belgian had a few bright moments but he was frustrating yet again. He needs to do more with his chances.

Diogo Jota6

The Portugal star fluffed his lines on a few occasions, he should’ve done more.

Mo Salah6

See above. He netted a lucky one early on and didn’t get much right thereafter.
