Liverpool have made some impactful signings over the years. An obvious one which springs to mind is the purchase of Virgil van Dijk. We bought a player this summer who has hit the ground running and his form has come as no surprise to ex-teammates. Conor Coady has been raving over Diogo Jota.

Incredible Jota start
Liverpool signing Diogo Jota came out of nowhere.
Hours after the protracted saga involving Thiago Alcantara ended, the first links between the Reds and Jota emerged.
Within hours these links became a concrete bid and in turn a done deal.
Michael Edwards snapped up the Portuguese star for £41m when everybody else was looking the other way.
Since his arrival the forward has been inspirational.
He has netted a hat-trick against Atalanta as well as big goals against Arsenal and West Ham.
The start of his Liverpool career has promised big things for the future.
Conor Coady on Diogo Jota
Speaking ahead of Wolves’ visit to Anfield, ex-Red Conor Coady spoke about his ex-teammate Diogo Jota.
The Wolves skipper was full of praise for the forward, unsurprised by his magnificent start at Anfield. The Scouser told the Wolves site:
“He’s been fantastic. I think every player in our dressing room knew the sort of player he was, we know the sort of character he is, and we know that he would’ve gone there with the right mentality
“His mentality is incredible and we knew he was going to go there and score goals, and honestly, I couldn’t speak more highly of him.
“Anybody who comes into our changing room and then moves on to different things, we always want the most success for them in the world, because they’re fantastic people, and that’s no different with Jota.”
What RTK has to say
He’s a proper good lad R Conor isn’t he.
Conor Coady has gotten Diogo Jota spot on here.
The Portuguese forward certainly arrived with the right mentality. He’s been chomping at the bit with every performance, racing around the pitch with determination.
We are lucky to have him, frankly I’ve no idea how we managed to buy him.
At just 24-years-old he is full of potential and he looks set to realise that potential at Anfield.
