Liverpool take on Wolves this evening with a win enough to send the Reds at least joint top. Jürgen Klopp’s side will be looking to put in as good of a performance as they put in on Tuesday night against Ajax. One man in particular is being tipped for a strong display. Emile Heskey believes that Diogo Jota will be at his best facing his former club.
Liverpool sign Diogo Jota
The Reds signing Jota came out of nowhere.
After a whole summer of links with Thiago, Timo Werner and Ismaila Sarr, we were shocked by the move for the Portuguese star.
It is no exaggeration to say that the move came from absolutely nowhere.
We weren’t linked with the forward once until the deal was nearly done.

At the time it felt as though first reports of interest became a done deal within a matter of hours.
Liverpool brought Diogo Jota in from Wolves for £41m and he has been thoroughly impressive since joining.
The 24-year-old has netted nine goals so far this season, he’s truly hit the ground running.
Emile Heskey backs Diogo Jota for big game
The Reds take on the forward’s old club this evening knowing that a win will send them joint top at least.
Should Jürgen Klopp’s side better Spurs’ result against Arsenal then they’ll be clear at the summit of the table.
Speaking exclusively to Rousing the Kop, Emile Heskey tipped Diogo Jota to be on top form against his former side, saying:
“It will get the best out of him. He won’t want to be playing his former team and losing that game.
“He will want to be showing them. He has trained with them, he understands what the defenders can and can’t do.
“He’ll want to be winning that game, when you go into those games your adrenaline is rushing and you want to bput in a performance against them.
“He’ll know what people will have been saying so he will want to score against them as well.”
What RTK has to say
Fingers crossed Emile Heskey is right and Diogo Jota scores against Wolves tonight.
The forward has been central to a lot of our best performances this season.
Hopefully he can continue that against his former side.
A win can send us top, in case he needed any further motivation.
