There are a total of six UEFA Team of the Year nominees linked with moves to Liverpool. The Reds reportedly want six of the best all over the pitch.
UEFA announced their nominees for the Team of the Year on Tuesday, with eight Liverpool players making the cut.
On top of those eight, though, are six players Liverpool reportedly want to sign. Here are those six – along with the reports linking them to the Reds.
David Alaba
One of the more experienced and proven players the Reds supposedly want. Marca recently named Liverpool as being in a three-way fight with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain for the Austrian.
Dayot Upamecano
There are plenty of reports saying Upamecano could move to Liverpool, including this from SportBild. The 22-year-old supposedly has a release clause at the end of the season – definitely one to watch.
Nicolo Barella
FC Inter News carry this one. They believe Liverpool like the 23-year-old Italian but they’re not the only club, apparently. Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester United also like Barella.
Houssem Aouar
Aouar was reportedly a ‘priority’ target heading into the summer transfer window. That’s according to a Mirror report from May. That didn’t come to fruition, of course, but it’s hard to believe Liverpool have completely lost interest in the player.
Erling Haaland
We’re onto the most exciting players on this list. Haaland is undoubtedly one of the biggest prospects in world football and he’s already playing at a high level. We have him down as a must-sign if Liverpool can make it happen. Eurosport claim that club insiders feel it might happen.

Kyian Mbappe
The ultimate signing, really. They don’t come bigger than Mbappe right now and Liverpool are supposedly in the mix. L’Equipe claimed in September that the Reds want him – everyone cross their fingers that it can happen, then.
