Andy Robertson firmly believes the struggling Neco Williams can turn his form around at Liverpool. The Scot didn’t hold back with his support.
Andy Robertson still sees great potential in Neco Williams and believes his teammate will turn things around. He doesn’t appear to doubt it at all.
“Neco is a confident lad and the way he has played for Wales in the previous international breaks has been unbelievable and he shows promise and he shows glimpses of it,” Robertson told Liverpoolfc.com.
“It’s just about him getting that complete performance. I believe it’s coming and I believe it’s close because he’s full of quality and he’s full of passion.
“You can see that the way he flies into tackles and stuff. He’s a great player with great quality and through Trent’s injury he’s got quite a few opportunities and he’s done well.
“He knows he can do better and that’s why we will try to push him and he’ll try to push himself.”

Williams certainly isn’t having the best time of it right now. He’s making mistakes and looking a little out of his depth.
Although, as Robertson points out, that’s the complete opposite of who he is for Wales. In fact, he looked different just last season as he broke into the first-team.
There’s clearly a very talented player in there but for whatever reason, something is holding him back this year. Fortunately, we believe he’s got the ideal player to help him through these struggles.
Williams just needs that big performance this year that proves he’s where he belongs. Deliver that and he could quickly get back on track.
The busy month should help him in that regard. There will be further opportunities to play, especially as Trent Alexander-Arnold is coming back from injury.
And with the support of his teammate, we’ll back Williams to show he’s good enough for this level.
