Liverpool has been placed in tier 2 restrictions by the government. The move means that fans will return to Anfield in December in limited numbers. This is the best news we’ve had in months.

We haven’t seen fans in football stadiums in England since way back in March.
The global health crisis forced lockdown restrictions in the interest of public safety.
The Premier League was suspended from April with some wondering whether or not the Reds’ title winning campaign would even be completed.
After an anxious wait the season restarted in June behind closed doors.
Liverpool placed in tier 2
Today we learned that Liverpool had been placed in tier 2 by the government.
This means that up to 2000 supporters will be allowed into Anfield from the 2nd of December onwards.
The first game with fans back in the hallowed arena will be a visit from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Meanwhile, controversially, Manchester has been placed in tier 3, meaning Manchester United and Manchester City won’t be allowed fans in stadiums.

This is just fantastic news. Joel Matip recently described this as the moment players were looking for.
Fingers crossed having the Kop faithful back in the ground will help lift the squad’s mood and performances.
Having fans there will surely keep them on their A game, they’ll be wary of making mistakes and will be spurred on by the fans’ cheering.
Hopefully it isn’t too long until we’re able to fill the ground up fully once more, there’s nothing like a packed and rocking Anfield to terrify the opposition.
