Roberto Firmino was the noticeable absentee from Liverpool’s training session at the AXA Training Centre on Tuesday afternoon.
Despite his absence, the Brazilian is cleared to play during the Champions League clash against Atalanta this evening, reports The ECHO.
The report claims that Firmino’s absence with the first team is not linked to any injury and the 29-year-old could still feature against the free-scoring Serie A outfit.
Meanwhile, Jordan Henderson and Thiago Alcantara are almost certain to miss the Anfield affair with the midfield duo both missing the training session at Kirkby.
Henderson, 30, is still working hard to return to full fitness after pulling out of England duty as a result of a groin injury. He was pictured doing gym work on Tuesday as he looks to accelerate his recovery process.

Thiago, 29, still hasn’t featured for the English champions in over five weeks after suffering a knee injury during the 1-1 draw with Everton on October 17.
Other noticeable absentees from the session were Naby Keita, Xherdan Shaqiri, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The latter in particular, showcased he is not going to just disappear. He is working hard to bounce back as quickly as possible.
Oxlade-Chamberlain was pictured at the AXA Training Centre on Tuesday as Liverpool’s players trained in the gym.

Academy graduates and midfield duo Leighton Clarkson and Jake Cain were also involved with Jurgen Klopp’s senior stars as Liverpool’s shortage of midfield options could potentially hand a Champions League duo to either of the 19-year-old talents.
Billy Koumetio was also involved and the 18-year-old described as ‘sensational’ by his manager will be battling Rhys Williams for a place alongside either Joel Matip or Fabinho in the heart of the defence.

With the fixture list set to intensify over the coming weeks, every player will be needed.
Should Liverpool beat Atalanta tonight and Ajax fail to win against Danish outfit FC Midtjylland in Amsterdam, the Reds will qualify for the last 16 of the continent’s premier competition.
