Liverpool have assembled one of the most deadly attacking trios in world football. Jürgen Klopp’s forward trident complement each other perfectly, offering pace, panache and determination. The quality of one player in particular has been recognised by a Premier League peer. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has heaped praise on Sadio Mane.
Sadio Mane at Liverpool
Liverpool signed Sadio Mane from Southampton back in 2016, paying £34m for the Saints star.
Since then he’s gone on to establish himself as a modern day Anfield icon.
His dribbling and finishing ability combined with his explosive turn of pace has devastated defences at home and abroad.
He’s netted 86 goals in 181 games for the Reds, playing predominantly off the left wing.
Aubameyang on Sadio Mane
Speaking to Stades, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang discussed just how important Sadio Mane is to the entire continent of Africa.
The Arsenal star heaped praise on his Liverpool counterpart, saying:
“Sadio is the player of the Africans. He’s also the type of players every manager would like to have in their team.
“Like all African players in the Premier League, we tease each other, joke before and after each game.
“Sadio, once kick off has taken place, he’s a wild animal. I have a lot of respect for him, because after what you see on social media and the news, he’s someone who’s done a lot for his native village.”
What RTK has to say
It’s surely impossible to dislike Sadio.
The Senegalese star is just so happy, smiley and incredible at football.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has heaped high praise on Sadio Mane here, saying he is the African player’s player.
He has a point as well, the winger is a role model. He does a lot of charity work for his home and he is a professional on the pitch.
We are lucky to have him, hopefully he sticks around for a while longer.
