Liverpool have been devastating teams with their determined pressing under Jürgen Klopp. The boss has implemented his gegenpressing philosophy to great effect, teams have been unable to deal with us at home and abroad. One man has embodied the style as well as anybody but he could well be sold in the near future. Barcelona have admitted Gini Wijnaldum ‘may be an option’ for them in the future.
Gini Wijnaldum is currently in the final season of his contract with Liverpool.
The Dutchman has been with the club since July 2016, when he was signed from a relegated Newcastle United.
Since then he has been transformed from a goal grabbing attacking midfielder into an industrious box to box ball winner.
Given that he is in the final year of his deal, he will be free to negotiate a pre-contract with another club from January.

Barcelona and Gini Wijnaldum
Ronald Koeman has admitted Barcelona could pursue a move for Gini Wijnaldum.
This is a rumour that has been circulating ever since the Dutchman took over the Catalan club.
The Barca icon managed Gini when he was head of the Netherlands national team, given the Reds midfielder’s contract situation, many of us put two and two together when Koeman took over at the Camp Nou.
The interest appears to be concrete with Sport quoting the Barca boss as saying:
“He’s very good, but he’s playing for Liverpool. He may be an option for the future, but I can’t say more.”
What RTK has to say
Please don’t go Gini.
If Barcelona sign Gini Wijnaldum it would be devastating for Kopites.
He has earned himself a place in the Reds folklore with some of his performances, we can never forget his brace in the 4-0 dismantling of Barca.
