Liverpool need a centre back
There can be no denying that Liverpool need a centre back in January.
The Reds started the season with just three centre backs in the senior side after Dejan Lovren was sold and not replaced.
The Croatian was fourth choice at the club and was moved on to Zenit.
The decision was made to employ Fabinho as the fourth choice in the back line and he was called upon early on.
Virgil van Dijk was ruled out for the season after the Merseyside Derby, Fabinho is currently recovering from a hamstring issue.
Joel Matip has just returned from injury but the reliability of his fitness is in question. If we don’t want to have to rely on the kids then we need to bring in a centre back this January.
Liverpool and Ozan Kabak
Liverpool have been consistently linked with a move for Ozan Kabak in recent weeks and months.
The 20-year-old has been impressing for Schalke in the Bundesliga.
According to Calcio Mercato, the Reds could bag a bargain with the defender’s price tag having allegedly dropped from €35m to €25m (£22.5m).
There is said to be room for an even further discount with the German side in a ‘profound economic crisis’.

There are a number of names being bandied about at the minute.
Whether Liverpool hold a concrete interest in Ozan Kabak remains to be seen.
If they do then this latest development could be enticing for bargain hunter Michael Edwards.
