Liverpool have some more than talented youngsters at the club. Michael Edwards and his team have been hoovering up some of the brightest teenagers in the game in recent seasons, assembling the team of tomorrow at the academy. Billy Koumetio and Marcelo Pitaluga are two shining examples of what we have to look forward to. One of most promising youngsters is still impressing out on loan – Harvey Elliott bagged another assist for Blackburn Rovers last night.

The Reds signed Harvey Elliott from Fulham in the summer of 2019.
The teenager arrived with burgeoning reputation having broken a string of ‘youngest player to do this and that’ records.
We still don’t know just how much he’ll end up costing us as the amount hasn’t been settled by tribunal but we can’t imagine the fee will be anything other than a bargain.
Having already made his Premier League debut for the Reds as a sub in a January win over Sheffield United, the youngster is clearly highly thought of.
Harvey Elliott at Blackburn
On deadline day Liverpool loaned Harvey Elliott to Blackburn Rovers.
The youngster wasn’t going to get many first team opportunities at Anfield due to the Reds’ exit from the EFL Cup and the fact that Xherdan Shaqiri remained at the club.
Since joining the Championship side he has been in fine form. He has impressed against Watford, scored and assisted against Coventry and last night he bagged an assist just three minutes into the home tie with Reading (the final score doesn’t matter).

This loan move looks like a masterstroke from the Reds.
Harvey Elliott is getting regular minutes at Blackburn and is impressing in those minutes.
The 17-year-old has been terrorising defences with his vision, dribbling and passing ability.
His cross for the Rovers’ goal in the 3rd minute against Reading was absolutely sumptuous, hung at just the right height to be volleyed home.
We cannot wait to see him in action again, he is surely a future superstar of the game.
