Liverpool are gearing up to make an important signing or two in the next nine months. The Reds have to bring in a centre back in January and are tipped to sign a forward in the summer as they look to add more goals to the centre forward role. If Liverpool were to sign Erling Haaland and Dayot Upamecano they could dominate for a decade.

Liverpool problem areas
It is no secret that the Reds first choice striker doesn’t score many goals. Roberto Firmino, edging towards his 30s, has always been more of a creative force.
We have recently seen him dropped back into midfield against Sheffield United as he looks to recover his form.
Signing a young centre forward with plenty of potential and a proven goal scoring record should be high on the Reds’ agenda.
Elsewhere, in a more pressing department, Liverpool have to sign a centre back in January to deal with the absence of Virgil van Dijk. There can be no doubting the importance of signing defensive reinforcements in the coming window.
Liverpool, Haaland and Upamecano
Liverpool should be focusing their energies on Erling Haaland and Dayot Upamecano.
The Bundesliga duo are already performing at the elite level of football, dominating games in the German Bundesliga.
The Norwegian striker is just 20-years-old whilst the French centre back is 21-years-old, meaning the pair have more than a decade left in the game.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Dortmund’s young striker has a release clause of €75m (£68m) whilst Sport BILD believe Upamecano’s release clause to be £36.5m.
Dominate for a decade
These two signings fit the Reds transfer policy perfectly and coupled together would help the Reds dominate for a decade.
Signing two of the brightest young talents in two key positions would secure our place for the years to come.
Just look at the numbers Haaland is posting up, he’s already netted five and assisted two in his first five league games this season.
Upamecano meanwhile has been majestic in the Leipzig defence and would benefit greatly from playing alongside Virgil van Dijk.
These two signings could prove critical to the club’s success in the near future.
