Liverpool have had an impressive transfer window to say the least. The Reds brought in backup at left back, an exciting young forward and an elite midfielder. It was as much as we could have ever hoped for. Next summer could be even bigger – The Independent has reported that Liverpool could sign Jadon Sancho next summer.
Jadon Sancho stats
The footballing world is in total admiration of Jadon Sancho.
The 20-year-old winger has been tearing apart the German Bundesliga despite his young age.
Last term he managed to net 17 goals and bag 16 assists, the season before he notched 12 goals and 14 assists.
Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend is so impressed with him that he once tipped the youngster for the Ballon d’Or in future.
Liverpool could sign Sancho
Manchester United chased the winger all summer to no avail.
The Red Devils thought that they could get Dortmund to budge on their £108m asking price and their 10th of August deadline.
However, there was no much movement and the winger will instead remain in Germany.
The Independent has reported that the lack of movement from United means that Liverpool could now sign Sancho next summer.
Given that the winger is more than likely to still be there next summer, the Reds can return when their finances have recovered – the club is currently suffering from the financial impact of the global health crisis.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool signing Sancho would be an absolute dream.
The finances would be tricky, we would certainly be looking to pay a little less than what Manchester United were quoted this summer.
However, given how long he has left in his career it would be a move which would suit FSG down to the ground.
The only question is: who does he replace? We’ll be dealing with that in a different article.
