Liverpool boast a 100% record this season having won all of their Premier League games. Given that Everton also boast a 100% record and Man City 100% don’t, the Reds will be doubly determined to maintain their strong start with a win in the midlands this evening. Here is the confirmed Liverpool lineup to face Aston Villa:

Goalkeeper: Adrian
With Alisson out injured the Spaniard dons the gloves. Just don’t mess it up my mate.
Right back: Trent Alexander-Arnold
The Scouser in our team will hopefully be pulling the strings once again given Thiago’s absence.
Centre back: Joe Gomez
The Englishman had a blinder against Arsenal, another wouldn’t go amiss.
Centre back: Virgil van Dijk
Virgil van Dijk just doesn’t have bad games. With Adrian in goal we’ll need a strong performance to protect the backup star.
Left back: Andy Robertson
Andy Robbo, published author, has started the season magnificently. He’ll be hoping to make an impact on this ground two seasons running.
Defensive midfield: Fabinho
The best defensive midfielder in the world will be needed for recycling the ball with the Reds expected to dominate possession.
Centre midfield: Naby Keita
The Guinean box to box player impressed against Arsenal, he’ll be hoping to run the show today.
Centre midfield: Gini Wijnaldum
The Dutchman never stops running and we saw that on Monday night. More of the same please.
Right wing: Mo Salah
Mo didn’t score in his last Premier League game, he’ll be hungry.
Left wing: Diogo Jota
Sadio is at home under a blanket, it’s up to the heir to the throne.
Striker: Bobby Firmino
Bobby Firmino will need to turn in a special performance tonight. Given the big name absentees we’ll need a big performance from the front men.
