Liverpool summer signings
We have seen Michael Edwards very much at it again in recent weeks.
The Reds’ director has been back in the transfer market, squeezing buyers for every penny and bringing in top talents at bargain prices.
The club surprised everybody with the purchase of Diogo Jota and made a real statement with the signing of Thiago Alcantara.
It looks as though the Reds won’t make any more signings this summer but they may make a big one next year.
Liverpool could sign Mbappe
L’Equipe claimed this week that Liverpool are in regular contact with Kylian Mbappe and his representatives.
The club are hoping to secure a deal to bring the Frenchman to Anfield in a year’s time.
Now, L’Equipe has reported that Liverpool could sign Kylian Mbappe for just £91m.
The World Cup winner will be entering the final year of his contract in next summer, meaning that PSG will be forced to do a deal for a cut price fee or they risk losing him on a free at the end of that season.
What RTK has to say
If Liverpool sign Kylian Mbappe that is the Premier League decided for the next decade, £91m would be a bargain.
The Frenchman is sure to be the superstar of this generation. Now that Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are entering the twilight of their careers, it is surely the PSG man’s time to win the Ballon d’Or every year.
Just imagine it, Mbappe under Klopp. Mbappe in front of the Kop. Mbappe swaggering over in his announcement video and saying “goin’ on la?”
Be still my beating heart.
