The season is finally back and the traditional curtain raiser is here to signal it. Liverpool will take on Arsenal in the Community Shield this weekend with the Reds firm favourites to get their season off to a winning start. Here is our predicted Liverpool lineup to face Arsenal:

Goalkeeper: Alisson Becker
The Brazilian will be annoyed at conceding two against Red Bull Salzburg, even though he couldn’t do anything about either goal. He’ll be looking for a clean sheet this weekend.
Right back: Neco Williams
With Trent Alexander-Arnold recovering from injury the next best right back in the world is called up for duty in the same week he is called up to the Wales senior squad.
Centre back: Joe Gomez
The Englishman was sloppy against Red Bull Salzburg, a competitive fixture should get the best out of him.
Centre back: Virgil van Dijk
Virgil van Dijk bled his own blood against Salzburg and it was very weird. He should be fine for the weekend.
Left back: Andy Robertson
Andy Robbo will be out to prove that he isn’t worried about the arrival of Kostas Tsimikas.
Defensive midfield: Fabinho
The best defensive midfielder in the world will be the anchor in the midfield, stopping any potential counter attacks.
Centre midfield: Curtis Jones
After a couple of impressive performances in pre-season we think that Jonesy should be given the nod at the weekend, if he is then it could be an indicator of just how much faith Jürgen Klopp will be putting in him.
Centre midfield: Naby Keita
The Guinean midfielder has become undroppable since hitting the form promised when we first bought him.
Right wing: Mo Salah
Mo had a game to forget in Austria, the real thing should jolt him into action.
Left wing: Sadio Mane
Sadio loves a goal against the Gunners, he will be getting on the scoresheet this weekend.
Striker: Bobby Firmino
Bobby Firmino has terrorised the North London side in recent years, we will be expecting more of the same on Saturday.
