This weekend saw the conclusion of the season with the Champions League final. Bayern Munich ran out 1-0 winners over PSG in a game that the Germans dominated, though the Parisians had their fair share of chances. Now that the tournament is done and dusted we will get a better idea as to whether Thiago will sign for Liverpool; some Kopites believe he dropped a major hint with his celebrations.

Thiago to Liverpool rumours

Thiago Alcantara has been linked with a move to Liverpool all summer. The Spanish playmaker is entering the final year of his contract at Bayern Munich and supposedly looking for a new challenge.

There has been an avalanche of conflicting reports throughout the saga, RMC Sport claimed that Thiago has agreed a four year deal with the Reds whilst David Ornstein told us that FSG wouldn’t go near Munich’s £45m valuation.

Then we had Melissa Reddy saying that there is no deal in place but it isn’t the fee stopping the move, it’s the amount of midfielders already at the club.

Champions League winner

Last week we wrote that we wouldn’t know much about the Reds’ supposed interest until after the conclusion of the Champions League.

There was no way that Bayern were going to entertain negotiations for their star midfielder whilst they were still competing for club football’s top prize.

We may see some movement on the Thiago to Liverpool switch now that he has won the Champions League.

Kopites excited by Spaniard

Some believe that he was mimicking Jordan Henderson with his trophy lift.

Surely that means he’s coming home? Well, Anfield at least.

One fan claimed he was being his own agent with such a celebration.

Others believe it’s the sign of a done deal.

They can do the shuffle together next season.

Maybe he was facetiming a special someone after the game.

Will he be here in time for the Community Shield on *Saturday?
