The Premier League fixture list was revealed today, giving supporters across the country something to look forward to. The Reds will be defending their crown for the first time in 30 years and Kopites will be determined to see their side embark on another period of uninterrupted glory. Here are the key dates in the Liverpool fixture list:
As is tradition, the best team in the Premier League takes on one of the new boys on opening day, typically the winners of the Championship play offs but this year we have the title winners. The Reds will be welcoming Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United on Saturday the 12th of September.
Taking on The Ev is always one of the best days of the year, mainly because we invariably come out on top. Carlo Fantastico couldn’t beat the kids you know when we last took on Everton at Anfield.
The first derby will be played at Goodison Park on the 17th of October with the reverse fixture on the 20th of February 2021.
The City games
No matter how early in the season Liverpool v Manchester City is now a title decider, whoever takes first blood can have a massive advantage in the title race.
The Reds take on City at the Etihad on the 7th of November and welcome them to Anfield on the 6th of February.
The United ties
The old enemy may not be as frightening as they once were but they were still the first side to take points off us last season.
We host United on the 16th of January and visit Old Trafford on the 1st of May.
Always a big day for football, the Reds’ boxing day fixture will be West Brom at home.
Will it go down to the wire? If it does we should be OK, the Reds take on Crystal Palace at home on the final day.
