Arsenal without up to six first team players for Liverpool clash

Who’s out?

Calum Chambers is still out with an injury picked up in December. Bernd Leno, Pabo Mari and Gabriel Martinelli are also absent with injuries picked up last month.

Eddie Nketiah is missing after picking up a red card against Leicester City. Mesut Ozil will be touch and go until closer to kick off as he continues to be assessed.

Who will they miss?

Bernd Leno is one of the key reasons Arsenal haven’t quite slipped into the bottom half of the table. His absence continues to be felt, although Emiliano Martinez did put in an excellent performance in the North London Derby.

Eddie Nketiah has been a bright spark up top for Arsenal, he possesses all the hunger and desire to cause problems for a defence.

Jürgen Klopp is all too aware of the threat that Martinelli poses, the Brazilian scored twice at Anfield at the start of the season.

What RTK has to say

Arsenal are currently languishing in 9th place. The Gooners have been continuing their steady decline into mediocrity following the retirement of Arsene Wenger.

This game was never likely to be a huge one for the Reds, injuries or not. Although the absence of Bernd Leno and Pablo Mari do make the Arsenal defence look significantly shakier.

Roberto Firmino will be a nightmare for David Luiz – the Brazilian defender is brash at the very best of times, Bobby’s movement will likely drag the unpredictable defender miles out of position.
