Liverpool wants Thiago Alcantara to freshen up his Liverpool squad, according to reports. The Spaniard could leave Bayern Munich this summer.
This comes from France Football. In an article that tries to persuade Paris Saint-Germain towards signing the player, they mention Klopp’s desire to bring Thiago to Anfield.

Thiago could leave the club, they say, given his contract situation. He only has a year left and thus the opportunity is there to pull him away from Bavaria.
Klopp would really like to do that, they say. He sees the Spaniard as a great way to freshen up Liverpool after their title win – no easy task, given the quality at the club.
This isn’t the first link between Liverpool and Thiago, of course. Bild claimed last week that Liverpool want the player. In fact, they also went with the Klopp angle, saying that it’s the Reds’ boss who thinks highly of the player.
What RTK has to say
That’s two sources from two different countries saying the same thing, then. Although, the Bild one is obviously stronger given the lack of connection between France Football and anyone involved.
Still, they’re backing up Bild and that does add credence to all this. They’re a decent source in their own right, after all.

But we’ll really repeat what we said after the first link – Thiago would be a great signing but we can’t see it happening. He’d still cost a significant amount and at 29, we don’t see Liverpool paying it.
He’s a great player who we’d really like to see at the club. But in the current climate, it just seems very unlikely.
