This summer is sure to see Liverpool active in the transfer market. The Reds didn’t buy any first team players last summer and have since signed a lucrative kit deal with Nike who will be expecting a marquee signing or two to shift some shirts. With one signing in particular already appearing to be a foregone conclusion, Bild has now claimed that Liverpool could loan Timo Werner straight back to RB Leipzig.

The Reds have been rumoured to be after Werner since he was just a glint in his father’s eye.
The 23-year-old German has spent the season taking the mickey in the German Bundesliga.
Werner has bagged 21 goals in 25 games, with only one of his appearances coming from the bench, he has picked up seven assists along the way.
His record in the Champions League is equally as impressive with four goals in six games, with an assist to boot.
The Reds have been backed to tie up a deal for the striker as early as April due to a rumoured stipulation that his release clause expires in April.
Bild has now claimed that Liverpool could decide to loan Timo Werner back to RB Leipzig for the season, much like they did with Naby Keita.
What RTK has to say
This is hands down the daftest chapter yet of the Timo Werner saga.
Why on earth would we sign one of the deadliest goal scorers on the continent just to send him straight back? It just doesn’t add up.
Thankfully this reads as Bild just trying to stretch the situation out, we won’t be so easily fooled. The Reds will bag Werner and he’ll win the Premier League Golden Boot next year, mark our words.
