Liverpool have one of the strongest first team squads in Europe at the minute. The Reds have built a team that are miles ahead at the top of the Premier League and look set to dominate for years to come. The club are also lucky enough to have some future stars out on loan. Unfortunately for Marko Grujic, his hopes of starting at Liverpool may have been dealt a blow at Hertha Berlin.

Liverpool signed Grujic back in 2016, paying Red Star Belgrade £5.1m for the midfielder.
The Serbian, dubbed ‘the next Steven Gerrard’, has since been loaned out to Cardiff City and Hertha Berlin, he is now in his second season in the German capital.
Despite having a strong start to life in the Bundesliga – he was praised as Hertha’s best midfielder in 20 years – Grujic has struggled this campaign, in part due to managerial instability.
In February, Jurgen Klinsmann resigned as Hertha boss after just 10 weeks in charge.
The Serbian has since seen his playing time slashed, finding himself as an unused substitute in his side’s last two games.
With Grujic hoping to force himself in the Liverpool reckoning next season he will have to give Jürgen Klopp every reason to trust him.
The Reds midfield is already stacked with talent, it will be hard for another player to force their way in, not least when they are being left out of a team struggling for form in the bottom half of the German Bundesliga.
With Hertha just six points from the relegation playoff and Grujic out of favour, he will be hoping that he at least gets a chance to impress Jürgen Klopp during pre-season or he could find himself leaving Anfield.
The Serbian certainly has potential but this is the best Liverpool side in decades, potential isn’t enough to warrant a place.
