Marko Grujic has spoken out on his future after his loan at Hertha Berlin ends. The Serbian has earned a lot of praise this season.
Grujic arrived at Liverpool three years ago now but never forced his way into the side.

The latter half of last season saw him at Cardiff City on loan, where he did impress enough to get a second offer in the summer.
Instead, Grujic went to Germany with Hertha. He’s created a lot of hype for himself over there, in particular from his manager, but what happens going forward?
Grujic has addressed his future after life at Hertha – and he’s open to whatever happens.
Grujic on his future after Hertha
“It depends on what the clubs will decide at the end of the season,” he told ESPN. “If Liverpool decide for me the best deal is to go on loan for another season, then I would like to come back to Berlin.

“I already know the players and staff and I don’t need any extra time to adapt to the league or surroundings. It depends — it’s too early to say what the next season will hold for me.”
The door is certainly open for a Liverpool career, however, according to Grujic.
“I think [there is a] plan for the future,” the Serbian said of his Liverpool career. “From every chat we had so far, I thought that they really think about me.”
Grujic is still just 22 years old and that alone gives him a chance. His biggest problem, however, is the amount of midfielders in the Liverpool squad.

It’s at the point that Grujic needs some failures if he wants to break in soon. But he’s comfortable with being patient – a key trait in this situation – and perhaps he can have his eye on replacing some of the older midfielders in a few years.
Either way, Grujic is having to bide his time and hope the moment is right. Until then, all he can do is keep performing as he is. He may still have a Liverpool future if he does just that.
