Liverpool entered this weekend knowing that they needed four wins to guarantee the Premier League title. The Reds have finished the weekend knowing that only two wins is needed for their first championship in 30 years. Liverpool fans have reacted to the Manchester United win leaving us within six points.
The Reds took on Bournemouth on Saturday and thoroughly swept them aside.
Callum Wilson controversially put the hosts ahead before Mo Salah and Sadio Mane restored the normal order with two well taken goals. The game finished 2-1 to Jürgen Klopp.
The following day saw the Manchester Derby. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer thoroughly outclassed and outhought his Spanish opposite number, leading United to a 2-0 win in the big game.
Liverpool are now two wins from the title thanks to the Manchester United win.
If Manchester City beat Arsenal on Wednesday and Burnley on Saturday then The Reds can secure the title with a win over Crystal Palace (provided they win the Merseyside Derby first).
Liverpool fans have reacted to the Manchester United win, it’s safe to say they’re pleased.
Leanne Prescott pointed out that Palace is the game now but that could be brought forward if Ederson maintains his error prone form.
Mind you, the way Ederson has played today it could be a lot sooner…

This supporter pointed out that even if we were forced to win it behind closed doors then there would still be a mass of people outside anyway.
If they do close Anfield for the Palace game. And that’s the game where we can win the league. What are the authorities going to do with the estimated 1 million Liverpool fans who will be in the city over that particular weekend. Because it will happen.

And one of those people would be busy singing Oh Campione.
Just got dreams of all the lads at palace out side the halfy like new years eve all in a circle and instead of singing auld lang syne we’re singing campioni Liverpool

One Kopite joked that City only lost so that we don’t win it at The Etihad.
Man City are doing everything they can to prevent Liverpool from lifting the Premier League title at the etihad🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

But this City fan realised they’ll be the first team to give us a guard of honour.
Now I’ve just heard, after losing to these bums, that if we win our two next games and so do Liverpool we have to give them a guard of honour?
Actually kill me.

But most importantly, after all these years, it’s there…right in front of us.
It’s been 30 years since Liverpool last won a league title. I’ve been a supporter for about 27 of those and I cannot believe we are only TWO wins away from finally ending this drought. It feels surreal… pic.twitter.com/wDE6zp8TKi
