This Wednesday night Liverpool lineup against Atletico Madrid with a monumental task on their hands. The Reds face one of the best defensive sides in Europe knowing they have to score once to keep the tie alive and twice to win it in 90 minutes. If Jürgen Klopp’s men concede they will need to score three. Here is our predicted Liverpool lineup to face Atletico Madrid:

Goalkeeper: Adrian
With the number one out we will be turning to the Super Cup hero Adrian. We will need the performance of his life.
Right back: Trent Alexander-Arnold
Trent shines in big games, just remember his heroics against Barcelona at Anfield last season.
Centre back: Joe Gomez
The Englishman was beaten too easily for Bournemouth’s opener on Saturday, he needs to be stronger on Wednesday.
Centre back: Virgil van Dijk
Big Virg doesn’t let us down on the big occasion, another masterclass from the Dutchman incoming.
Left back: Andy Robertson
Robbo should be back in time for the crunch clash, he was left out as a precaution at the weekend for this very reason.
Defensive midfield: Fabinho
The best defensive midfielder in the world hasn’t been himself of late, we can’t afford any further slip ups.
Centre midfield: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
The Ox is a bit of a risk when facing a combative midfield but we need his attacking impetus from the off.
Centre midfield: Jordan Henderson
The skipper should hopefully be back in the Liverpool lineup to face Atletico Madrid, we’ve missed him dearly.
Right wing: Mo Salah
Mo was lethal at the weekend, we need him to carry this through to the midweek game.
Left wing: Sadio Mane
Sadio took one chance with aplomb against Bournemouth and nearly scored goal of the season, he’ll be key against Atleti.
Striker: Bobby Firmino
Bobby was creating again but once again failing to score at Anfield, he will want to put that right ASAP.
