Liverpool’s transfer business during the Jürgen Klopp reign has been surgical. The club have sought out diamonds in the rough, paying well below what their rivals have to assemble a squad far superior. One trick that has paid off on a few occasions has been Liverpool buying from relegated sides. We take a look at three players The Reds could poach in the summer from teams going down:

Todd Cantwell – Norwich City
The Canaries are all but relegated and Todd Cantwell is probably our most likely bargain buy of the summer.
With the East Anglian side heading back down to the Championship, Liverpool could bag him in a cut price deal.
The Reds have already been linked with a move for the playmaker, with the Englishman potentially replacing Adam Lallana.
Aaron Cresswell – West Ham United
The Hammers are staring relegation in the face. David Moyes has failed to turn things around at the London Stadium and unless he does so soon we can expect the East London club to drop a division.
Cresswell may not be the most glamorous of names but he would be a solid backup for Andy Robertson.
At the minute the Scotsman has no deputy, if we could get the Hammers’ full back on the cheap then he could prove to be a bargain backup buy.
Emiliano Buendia – Norwich City
Ok, another Norwich player.
We debated sticking Ben White of Brighton in ahead of Buendia but with Graham Potter’s side four points clear of the drop we felt it a bit harsh to include them.
Buendia has bagged seven assists so far in the league. At 23-years-old he is only going to get better and would be a shrewd replacement for Xherdan Shaqiri with the Swiss international likely heading for a summer exit.
His bags of potential, work rate and eye for a pass make him an ideal Jürgen Klopp signing.
