Liverpool are often linked with a specific type of player: young, determined and relatively cheap. The Reds are rarely linked with mega money moves for the most sought after talents – well, apart from Jadon Sancho and Kylian Mbappe but they remain unrealistic targets. David Ornstein has linked Liverpool with a move for Todd Cantwell from Norwich.
Last week there were rumours that the Reds were looking at Jamal Lewis and Emiliano Buendia. Whilst we believe Buendia in particular would be a fantastic signing, we were confused as to why Todd Cantwell isn’t our top Norwich target.
Cantwell has started 17 games for the Canaries this season, scoring six goals and assisting two in the Premier League. The attacking midfielder has scored big goals in big games, most memorably netting in Norwich’s win over Manchester City earlier in the season.
According to David Ornstein, Liverpool are one of a number of clubs looking at signing Todd Cantwell over the summer.

Liverpool signing Todd Cantwell makes a lot of sense. The Reds have shown in recent seasons that they can pick up players from relegated sides and transform them into world class performers.
With Norwich looking like favourites to go down, we could well capitalise on their misfortune and pillage them of their brightest talents. It could well benefit us if we bring in Cantwell along with one of his teammates, Emiliano Buendia would be a helluva buy given his incredible chances created stats – signing them as a pair could help them adjust to life on Merseyside.
