Liverpool are expected to do big business in this summer’s transfer window. The Reds have been dominating domestically and have money to burn thanks to their shrewd spending in recent years and their lucrative new kit deal with Nike. According to Guillem Balague, one player Liverpool won’t sign is Ousmane Dembele.
Dembele is one of football’s most frustrating prospects.
The French forward lit up the German Bundesliga whilst with Borussia Dortmund, his form earned him a £135.5m move to Barcelona in 2017.
He hasn’t quite hit the heights expected of him at the Camp Nou and has spent most of his time in Spain on the treatment table.
The youngster has once again found himself ruled out, this time until the end of the season.
El Desmarque have previously suggested that The Reds may be interested in taking on the French flop. However, Guillem Balague has been quoted by the Express as saying ‘he isn’t a player for Liverpool’.
What RTK has to say
Well, we could have told you that.
The Reds would never gamble that amount of money on a player with such a worrying injury record.
Thankfully, a man with an inside track has confirmed that Liverpool aren’t going to be risking their money on the chronically crocked wild card.
Whilst we will expect some attacking reinforcements over the summer, we believe they will come much cheaper than Dembele and likely with a much lower profile than a player with a £135.5m move on his CV.
Further to that, there have been discipline issues with the player in the past, that simply wouldn’t fly under Jürgen Klopp.
