This summer we can expect at least one player to head to Anfield from the German Bundesliga. With Timo Werner currently the most likely and talked about deal, Liverpool have reportedly added Milot Rashica to their German spending spree.
For a while now The Reds have been expected to complete a move for Timo Werner, with Jadon Sancho also mooted as a potential Bundesliga buy – now Milot Rashica has been thrown into the mix.
The 23-year-old Kosovan winger has been in hot form for Werder Bremen this season.
He has picked up seven goals and three assists in 18 games thus far, with most of his games coming on the left flank.
Despite his strong form his side are struggling in the table: languishing in second to last place, just a point above the bottom of the table.
Bild have reported that Liverpool are scouting Milot Rashica as well as Werner and that the Bremen winger has a release clause of around €38m.
What RTK has to say
This could be another masterstroke from Michael Edwards.
At the minute Bremen are five points from safety, they are looking very likely to go down.
If they do drop into the second division then they may be forced to sell top talents at cut price rates, meaning that Liverpool could get a good deal on Milot Rashica.
His goal scoring ability is in no doubt and he also boasts versatility, which Jürgen Klopp values highly. Besides starting on the left wing, Rashica has played as a central striker as well as behind the forward and on the right of midfield this season.
At just 23-years-old he fits the age parameters The Reds will be looking at, all the signs point towards this being another shrewd move by Edwards if it comes off.
