This is set to be a monumental season for Liverpool. The Reds are certain to lift the Premier League trophy, making it their first title win in 30 years. According to a report in the Daily Mail, Liverpool could be set to lift a special, golden Premier League trophy.
At the minute The Reds are 25 points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
Manchester City are lagging way behind and could fall even further adrift should their morale take a knock as a result of their recently announced two season Champions League ban.
With the league effectively sewn up fans and pundits have started concerning themselves with how many records Jürgen Klopp’s side could break along the way.
The earliest title win ever looks more certain than other landmarks but going invincible is the one many fans want the most.
According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool could be handed a golden Premier League trophy should they finish the season unbeaten.
This would be in line with Arsenal being afforded the same gong after their invincible season of 2003/04.
What RTK has to say
Seeing as they didn’t let us wear our golden ‘world champions’ badge, they can make sure they give us a golden trophy if we manage to go remain unbeaten.
This trophy would be the perfect symbol of the supremacy that Jürgen Klopp has achieved with the club, a great big shining monument to just how bizarrely good his side are.
If they do manage to go invincible then Liverpool will likely set a record points total too – so if anybody from the Premier League is reading this: maybe some diamonds on the golden trophy? Whatever! Just have fun with it! Go nuts! Rubies are probably more appropriate.
