Jürgen Klopp has firmly established himself as the best manager in world football. The German coach has masterminded Liverpool into a 25 point lead at the top of the table and the club are in a strong position to retain their European crown. Maurizio Sarri has praised Jürgen Klopp but also levelled an accusation at him.
Sarri is also enjoying success as a manager.
The Italian took over Juventus this season after winning the Europa League with Chelsea last summer.
The Turin side are currently tied on 54 points at the top of Serie A with Inter Milan, with Lazio just a point behind.
With Cristiano Ronaldo hoping to fire the Italian giants to European glory this season, Jürgen Klopp has previously told Goal that he believes the Old Lady to be the favourites for the competition.
Sarri has hit back at Klopp, telling Goal:
“Jurgen is one of the smartest and funniest people I’ve ever known and what he’s doing here is shaking off the burden of being the favourites for the Champions League.”
What RTK has to say
Jürgen isn’t just a master motivator, he appears to be brushing up on his mind games too.
The German must be aware that his Reds are strong favourites to retain their crown and Sarri is right in saying that he is just trying to remove the burden.
Thankfully, this Liverpool side are the Mentality Monsters – there is no burden that can impact their focus and desire.
We can expect no complacency from The Reds in Europe this season, they will take some stopping.
