This Liverpool side are one of the greatest of all time. They’re blessed with a squad that is set for the next few seasons at least and to make things even rosier they have incredible talents emerging from the academy – one such talent could be set for an international call up. If Ryan Giggs includes Neco Williams in the Wales squad for Euro 2020 it would be massive for his development.

According to a report in The Mirror, Ryan Giggs is considering Neco Williams for his forthcoming Wales squad.

The 18-year-old has been incredibly impressive for Liverpool in the domestic cups this season.

The Welshman put in a solid defensive performance against Arsenal in the League Cup in October.

Williams was also applauded for his end to end contributions to the FA Cup win over Everton.

Most recently the teenager wowed fans with his display against Shrewsbury Town in the Anfield replay.

At the moment it is not a case of if but when Williams will break into the Liverpool first team.

Unfortunately for him, he has the best right back in the world ahead of him and that right back is only a few years older than him.

What Neco needs is first team experience, playing in Euro 2020 for Wales would be a massive step in his development.

International football is a huge step up from domestic youth football. Williams would learn a lot about his game if he was afforded a spot in the summer squad.

Ironically, a decision by a Manchester United legend in Ryan Giggs could help Liverpool out immensely in future.

If Williams continues to develop then Jürgen Klopp may be able to rest Trent more often or even move the Scouser into midfield.
